1. We endorse safe staffing ratios proposed by National Nurses United. These ratios have improved outcomes for patients and improved retention of nurses.

2. We enthusiastically endorse workers’ rights to speak openly with each other about work conditions, salaries, as well as organize and unionize.

3. We support our colleagues in their fight for safe, tolerable work conditions. We stand in solidarity with Nursing Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and all healthcare workers. You define your practice.

4. We endorse an overhaul of our dysfunctional healthcare system. The US healthcare system costs nearly twice as much as health systems in other high income countries and produces worse outcomes! How do other countries do it better? They make it free to visit your doctor, promote wellness, and manage your diagnoses. Accessible and affordable preventative care reduces expensive hospitalizations and a single payer system, such as Medicare for All, reduces excessive administrative costs charged by highly profitable insurance companies. We support efforts to expand public health infrastructure and primary care access.
